You realize the Al Pacino movie is itself a remake.

Yea, but why remake it again when the most recent one turned out to be a classic

I m very, very confused why so many people like the movie Scarface. I’ve seen tons of people in the past few years wear knee long Scarface t-shirts, like it’s a flag or something. Like the guy from the movie Scarface is their hero. I wonder if they’ve seen the end of the movie, because it ends really, really badly. Spolier alert, Scarface dies snorting a comical pile of cocine in a tacky-arse mansion that looked as if The Golden Girls won the lottery. Also, I don’t like people lumping Scarface with other movies. I have friends that will be like, “I like movies like The Godfather and Scarface.” Oh yeah? Well my favorite foods are lobster and skittles those are equal in my eyes!

does it matter? Will it diminish your enjoyment of the first remake?

This is what I don't understand with the "OMG they're remaking (insert movie)?! frick that" crowd. The potentially shitty remake has no effect on the original in terms of enjoyment. They are two separate pieces of work. Treat them as such and all will be A OK.

And let's say you don't trust yourself to not let the potentially shitty remake ruin your enjoyment of the original. Don't f*cking watch it. Problem solved.

Scarface is quite possibly the most overrated movie of all time.

Blast away with downvotes.

It will probably be better than the shite movie the original is.

I don't watch broadcast tv anymore but I have heard that once they do a remake that's the version that gets played on tv more often than not. Is that really the case?

I remember MTV cribs and every baller and rapper had the Scarface poster framed...and they would walk by it on the wall and say, "here's my boy."

I think Scarface poster in college eventually outsold Che Guevara and Pink Floyd's The Wall.

I hope they up the F-bomb ante in the remake, that would be the only redeeming value.

Its really only a remake in name only. The original and the Al Pacino version have very little in common. My guess is the new remake will be a rip-off of the Pacino version. And the best line:
