"Heat, I saw that 8 years ago" "But I want to talk about it now"
Great movie. Kinda long and lulled for a minute. I think it would have been better without Pacino. He just did not do it for me in this movie. DeNiro killed it though.

I watched this again last week. Pacino at his worst.

He is also the voice of half of the Simpsons characters.
Pacino was great in that movie.

Heat probably has one of my favorite gun fights in all movies when they rob the bank.

Whatttttttttt? The "great arse" and the scenes with Albert and his cousin are some of my favorite Pacino scenes. Also love when he breaks down the crime scene after they rob the armored truck at the beginning.
It's one of my top 5 favorite movies but I do agree that it is a little too long. I think they probably could have cut out most of Dennis Haysbert's stuff, but I like the contrast between him and Chris.
Also it blew my mind when I realized that Bosko was Buffalo Bill.

I wish I could go back and watch it for the first time, baw.
I think the pace is just about right for the film.
His personal life is the weakest part of the story, no question. While Venora is a fine actress, I don't think she was particularly good in this film - and the chemistry was poor between her and Pacino.
But, otherwise, without Pacino on the hunt, the movie isn't nearly as good - we also don't get one of the best dialogues in film history - the coffee shop scene.
It is on par with the Sicilian Scene in True Romance and just behind Jules and Ringo in Pulp Fiction.

Agreed. The secondary storyline with his stepdaughter or whatever, that can be removed as it us pretty useless.
Heat is definitely too long, but it's awesome though. And it has one of tGOAT action sequences/scenes in movie history. Watching that bank robbing scene in surround sound is fricking amazing.

Magua from Last of the Mohicans was also a cop in Heat

You mean Hank Azaria? You was also in the Birdcage, among many other films and TV shows.
