How the hell is 2016 Ghostbusters higher than Interstellar on RT?

I mean, really Ghostbusters has to be without question the most overrated movie on the T-Meter, while Interstellar is much lower than it deserves.
How can that possibly be defended. You may as well be saying that Pearl Harbor should have won Best Picture than for Ghostbusters to be over a single digit percentage on RT.

Go on rotten tomatoes and compare the popcorn meters for the two movies. Its way more accurate.

I think sometimes popcorn flicks get a pass in the reviews, while more technical works are very heavily critiqued.
It makes sense if you aren't trying to compare apples to oranges. The RT score really only tallies favorable vs unfavorable scores. It's not aggregating various star ratings.
A popcorn flick only needs to be watchable or unwatchable for many reviewers, while something like Interstellar gets picked apart for pacing or character development even it is far superior visually to other movies.

But Prestige is one of the best films from 2000-2010. It's top 5.
Interstellar and Inception aren't in the same class.
Prestige is the 2000s version of 1990s Shawshank in terms of rewatchable drama. It has that cache.
