How many Midnight/Advanced openings have you been to?

Just curious with the opening of The Force Awakens coming out. This is only my third one. Went to TDKR and the first Avengers, both were at midnight.
How many have you been to? What were they like? Worth it?

I mostly go to advanced screenings because depending on my theater, it's going to be dead empty and I get the theater to myself or there will be a more invested crowd that's less likely to be playing on phones, etc.

I've been to all of them.

A few Harry Potters... TDK
Can't think of any others.
They're alright. Nothing special really. Just that feeling of excitement is heightened because you feel like you're one of the first and it's not a typical day/night out at the movies.
Worth it? Sure. The price isn't any different. But the next morning was rough... classes/work.

I went to this one only. Worst experience of my life. I will never do that again. I had to get there way early because there are no assigned seats on the ticket. I was then up well past when I normally am, so I was trying to stay awake for the last half of the movie. I was then utterly exhausted the next day. Why put yourself through that?

TDK, best theater experience of my life. Everyone shut the frick up, laughed when they were supposed to. It was awesome

I don't do it anymore.

I once saw some alleged 4th movie in a popular film franchise about an archeologist that goes on crazy adventures and wears brown fedora and uses a whip. But I heard that movie has been erased from existence, so I don't think it counts anymore.

I've been to a few.
The most fun I ever head at a midnight release was the midnight release of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire Book release.
It was at a Barnes and Noble and was probably the most eclectic group of people I have ever seen at one event. We're talking goth teens, soccer moms, business men, kids sleeping in the aisles of the bookstore, people in wizards robes and virtually every race and demographic represented.

Just Star Wars Ep. II and IIIs. Had the chance to attend HP: DH P1 but turned it down.
