You can throw me into the "hates Kevin" camp. Dude was awful.
Also, on the "the mom isn't hot" thing. Let's not forget that everyone basically already hates Ted because he's an awful person. So if he ended up with a knockout for a wife, it would prolly piss even more people off anyway.

Kevin and Quinn story line always puzzled me. If they were filler fluff or maybe an original ending that they got away from when they decided to go a season longer. The wedding could of easily been quinn and barney's....
I hate Kevin, but enjoyed Quinn's character and seemed a much better ending for Barney than Robin. I agree with a lot of others the Barney/Robin relationship ruined a lot of the best parts of those two characters where Quinn allowed Barney to still play on the best parts of his character without seeming like a huge douchebag.

I don't know if you meant for Kevin and Quinn to be one storyline, but I just remembered that Barney was dating that other girl while Robin was dating Kevin. Her name isn't coming to me, but she had a British accent and tan skin. It's weird that Barney had 2 serous relationships this season then got engaged with Robin. Or was the British chick from last season?

You are right, the british chick Nora was around with Kevin. Quinn was around when Robin had that random Nick dude. Nora was season 6/7.

I have seen all the old episodes. The wife dvrs the re-airings on fx, Lovett, and Fox.
I am fairly certain I have seen every episode.
The only thing the earlier seasons has in the later ones is the characters were less mature. WhIch is to be expected.
I actually like seeing Barney grow up. Robin is the only one that has gotten bad imo.
Its probably het Canadian shining through.

It's like people in this thread have never seen this show.....
WE KNOW THAT ROBIN AND TED DON'T end up together......since like season 4 when they had a "sandwich" @ the 20 year reunion and he called her Aunt Robin for the 1st time......Then Ted starts giggling because Marshall says "where is your wife" and Ted just starts laughing like crazy and says "I have no idea".........My favorite episode of all time by the series by the way.
As for the final season, I'm glad they will add some storyline on the mother before we get the final meeting........

Yeah....now that we have seen the mother we can see flashbacks of how close he was to meeting her before.
And probably reflect on how he wasn't ready to meet her yet.

Have you seen the show? He (Narrator Ted) calls her Aunt Robin in the pilot episode.
There is always a group of people that root for relationships that never ever will happen in TV/Books/Any entertainment. It's obvious he won't end up with her from the very first episode.

Rachel Bilson is the only reason she should be hotter. Her looks don't bother me, just doesn't fit with that one bit of trivia about her stealing Bilson's boyfriends.
It can be fixed and given a reason why, but they would have to give her more storyline than just meeting her.

Decided to go back and look what he got into...
We forgot Katy Perry or more appropriately "OHHHHH Honey..."
He banged Danica McKellar too. Never had a shot with her though since she ends up going after Rachel Bilson. The unconfirmed three way is an epic level of hotness.
Ted has gotten into some decent assorted women too that are arguably better looking.

I've dated hot girls and wanted their not as hot friend much more, because the friend was either extremely cool, or sexy, or slutty, or whatever. Personality goes a long way.

This doesn't really bother me. I had a girl that it never worked out with my one chance to get her and I pined for years trying to get another opportunity. In the end, I found someone else that it did work with and don't even think about her much anymore. Of course, there is no way in hell I could still be close enough friends with her where my kids called her Aunt and I think I would definitely be divorced if I tried that shite. Hell, I don't talk to her/see her/wouldn't be friends with her on facebook.

Am I wrong in thinking that they had shown the mother in the past and she was blonde? For some reason, that's the first thing I thought of last night when they showed her.
Like maybe when they showed her getting into (or sitting in) a cab or something? Thought she had blonde hair.
