Yall think the final scene will be something like a close up of Ted's face with his mouth dropped open and Saget saying "...and that's the first time I laid eyes on your mother"?

they need to move the story along tho. The kids in 2030 look to be 15-16 ish. that means he better knock up their mother before they get married to keep the time line believable

Robin an Barney will be fighting and almost calling off the wedding throughout the day before Ted talks to both of them and saves the day by giving an embattled speech behind emotional music that weve heard a billion times the past 3 years. Hes "finally over Robin" well not really but thats what hell say

At the reception he talks to a faceless girl but quickly loses her in the crowd, fueled in depression and lonelyness that can only be created in Teds girly mind, he leaves the reception and goes to the train station where he ponders leaving the group to ensure Barney/Robins happiness and swears off the "universe signs forever" when a cab pulls up and the faceless woman gets out while we get a shot of Ted looking apond the girl with shock and amaze as we only see the back of her head the show cuts away

Lets see how close i get

Based on the Directv description, the wedding isn't even happening tonight, which is stupid. Way to drag it out more.

I noticed that, too. It made me think there was another episode after this, but apparently there isn't.

I guess this kind of delves into spoiler territory, especially for next season. It is not based on an specific spoilers, only comments made from the producers:

SPOILERS

The Wedding doesn't happen tonight. It looks like next season, the ENTIRE SEASON is going to be the hours leading up to, during, and following the wedding. I'm not joking. The producers have talked about what a radical difference next year will be, a new story telling method, etc. We know that they don't even get to the wedding tonight.

So that's my speculation.

That would be soo lame

But i know someone that would love to strech the "journey" of meeting the mother to its fricking limits so im sure he got a boner from that idea

frick this show. Don't even feel like watching if they aren't going to follow through with the wedding that they said was going to be in the finale

If the wedding doesn't happen tonight, I'm through with this show. After however many seasons, that would be the final straw.

What is the kids are dead and he's in a 6th sense type thing. But they weren't really there...just a butterfly effect, lingering of a memory, that never happened...because he didn't approach the blonde headed girl in the bar in 2007.

The show was obviously at its best the first few years. The past few years have been tough to watch at times. However, like The Office, I believe the writers have had the show's ending in mind for some time now and will do a good job of tying it up. Until then, there will probably be some more disappointing episodes.

I have to be honest, I might be right there with you. I know it's become internet cool to hate on this show, but there couldn't be a bigger slap in the face to the viewers by dragging this out any longer than they already have.

I just watched last weeks episode. I think the writers are just trying to piss us off. Tonight Barney and Robin will make up, she'll realize it was a last second of doubt, they'll get married, but Ted will probably be a bitch about it anyway. And I pray to God that he meets the mother tonight
