Fired it up on Netflix and loving it through 3 episodes. What does the board think of this show?

That cast is insane when you look at it now.

Correct.

And contrary to (my) belief, he is not an adolescent Steve-O.

It's not a comedy show like you might be thinking...it's definitely more drama/dramedy. But it's very funny at times, and overall it's mostly very endearing.

It's just a great, great show and was cancelled far too quickly. Cuz frick NBC.

Great show. The casting and characters are excellent. In just one season, every character is developed and given ethos and an interesting story. (Bill FTW) It's funny and endearing and somehow not cheesy at all and anyone who's been in high school can relate

Very similar to Firefly - it is quite obviously "too good" for television - at least at the time.

Things have changed - tastes have changed - but when you just consider the number of young stars that really got their break on F&G - not to mention how well it was done.

In my case, I was almost literally Sam - I think he was a year older, as I started high school in 1981, but otherwise, very, very similar to me, biographically. I took an instant liking to the show, but it was supremely well done - top to bottom.

Oh, you're in for a wild ride my friend. I was upset when I heard the 5th season would be the last season, but it ended perfectly. AMC is making it's mark on TV history.

Yeah. I was similar to Sam as well. I wasn't a Geek, but I was in a way. The geeks at my school were actually not bullied at all. I went to a prep school, so we all had some respect for those guys.

I went to the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts for 11th and 12th grade. Nerd-o-rama and I was nerdier than average for the place.

I think it's fricking awesome. Absolutely hilarious. Shame it was cancelled.
2 things:
1) I would do dirty, dirty things to Lindsay Weir.
2) Bill Haverchuck is one of the greatest characters in TV history
