Obviously I haven't red the books so I don't know who he should play but from watching the DVD extra's I could picture him as The Mad King with some long stringy hair and finger nails. Might be just because of him playing Victor in Underworld.

Now that I think about it, he could play an Iron Islander very well. The guy who plays Balon Greyjoy reminds me of him.
Granted, he did play an organ playing octopus, but he could pass as a Greyjoy brother though (Aeron or Victarian maybe?)

I read on 1 site that Jim Broadbent was cast for Mace Tyrell and Oded Fehr for Oberyn Martell but after further researching I cannot find any confirmation so I suspect those are not true.

I've never really watched Simon in anything, but he looks the part more than Oded would.
Broadbent would actually be pretty perfect for Mace.
