I'm midway through season 1 and I'm loving it so far. Are the 7 other seasons as great as the first?

To reiterate, after season 4. Season 4 is easily the best seaon and they never came remotely close to recapturing that level of intensity.

I watched the whole series and enjoyed it, but the first 2 are the best. The seasons that aren't as good, really do take a top. Dexter himself stays relatively the same as far as I remember.

It is so hard to not watch on, but yep you are right. Anyone who does will regret it.

Dexter had a better ending than Lost or The Sopranos.

Possible spoiler

I didn't like the Dexter or Sons of Anarchy ending for the same reason. Neither of those characters would have even considered that way out based on the previous backstory of each character.

There's no way you actually believe this. Shoo away troll.

I was thinking the same thing.

I answered for informational purposes. There's no stopping the inevitable.

If memory serves, season 1,2,4 and 6 were best. Others were just there to fill air time.

I actually enjoyed season 5 with the new change (not spoiling just saying there's a new change)

After that though it's meh

I'd watch it all the way but at least season 5

The one I disliked most was the religious season with Jon Lithgow (sp) abd Tom Hank's son

Wow

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with the wow here.

Eta: Secondly, not only was the story good, but Colin Hanks was great. I mean, not on his dad's level, but very, very good.

Dexter went from an emotionless sociopath with a lust for highly precise killing to an emotional little bitch in S5.
