The movie itself isn't scary, but the final scene in Sleepaway Camp fricking scared the shite out of me when I was 10:

The noise he/she makes is goddamn terrifying.

The Zero Boys.

I think I was about 9 when it came out. Scared the crap out of me.

Rewatched it at around age 25, it is probably the dumbest and worst movie ever made.

The Exorcist- *shivers*

Salem's Lot- To this day I refuse to have a bed that faces a window.

Michael Myers was the boogeyman to me as a kid due to watching Halloween very young. As Ann adult, I still like to watch the original at least every October because it's a masterful piece of cinema and paved the way for slasher legends like Jason and Freddy.

Basically tied is the Exorcist. Also saw very young and that movie scared me to death...to the point that I haven't since watched it or many movies about exorcism at all. It's a terrifying subject imo

Twice Upon a Time: It was a non-horror kids movie, but it had cartoonish stop motion animation (think artsy South Park animation) that was really scary looking to a 5 YO

Also, I'm suprised no one has said "IT" yet.

Watched the exorcist when I was about 6 and loved it but couldn't sleep after that for a while and salems lot with the kid tapping on the window was just freaky... Childs Play for the first watch had me on the edge of my seat the whole movie

The vampire kid tapping on the window in Salem's Lot scared me to death.

So did the Robot Lady in Superman III.

Movies with guys murdering people never bothered me. Always figured I would have a fighting chance against a crazy guy with a knife or axe. Now supernatural ghosts or monsters and shite freaked me out as a kid.

I didn't mention IT because I wasn't dumb enough to watch that portrayal of all my horrors

Scream. Friend of mine has a big glass sliding door that opened too a pool. We refused to even go near that room after that movie.

Those Christopher Lee Dracula movies
Let's Scare Jessica To Death (1971)
Play Misty For Me (1971)
Race With The Devil (1975)
The Omen (1976)
Rosemary's Baby

And the one that scared the crap out of me as a teen and still creeps me out today:

The Sentinel
