Why has this movie been so panned (no pun)? I always enjoyed it as a kid. Bangarang

Because it was a cheesy kid's movie. But, you know, imo, it's probably the best Peter Pan movie ever made. It is a staple of childhood in America.

Apparently Phil Collins, George Lucas, Carrie fisher, and Jimmy Buffet have cameo's too. Also, Gwyneth Paltrow is young Wendy.

Mind blown.

Was the inspector in the house in the scene right after Peter's kids are kidnapped.

Were the couple kissing on the bridge as Tinkerbell takes Peter to Neverland.

Mind blown. Where was he?

This was the very first movie I saw in a theater. It was Christmas Eve 1991. I was in awe. Still love the movie to this day.

I love Hook, but my favorite Peter Pan movie is Peter Pan from 2003. Peter is played by JD McCoy from Friday Night Lights

I was in my 30's when it came out. I remember being very disappointed in it then but feel favorably about it now.

Baloo is right about the way the lost boys are portrayed. The pirates are all great but those kids were just silly.

So no one is going to mention that Peter's whore of a mother didn't even bother checking the bottom of the hill where his stroller flipped. Did she just turn around, realize her son was missing and just say frick it and go home? Not to mention that Peter, as an infant, heard and was able to comprehend what his mother was talking about to want to "run away" in the first place. Bollocks.
