Help me choose one - End of Watch or Mud Tonight?

A buddy of mine just loaned me both films. I only have time to watch one, and i'll catch the other one next weekend. I've heard Mud is a great film, but end of watch is an action film, which i'm kinda more in the mood for. What's the boards opinions on both these films??

If you're more into action tonight go with end of watch. Mud is great, liked it better but both are good.

Both are good.
If you want something slick and fast paced, go with End.
If you want something that builds storywise into a powerful end, go with Mud.

I just asked my wife if she was interested in MUD, she gave me that sarcastic "sure" answer wives love to give. What's it about? is it a drama, thriller, etc?

There is no wrong answer. End of Watch is an intense action flick that is well made, though it has a rough ending. Mud is all around a better movie, but is slower and more contemplative, with a more involved story centered around a bildungsroman.

Both are really good, I'd go with Mud. It's more interesting.

It's a coming of age film. There are thrilling parts though. Beautifully done.

If you're in the mood for action, I would strongly recommend End of Watch over Mud. There's not too much too action in Mud except for near the end.

kid actors can ruin a film, but i remember them being very good in MUD.
Go with MUD and EoW next time.
