HBO Series: The Brink

This show is phenomenal. I highly recommend anyone that has HBO watch it.
Great casting, directing, writing, pacing, etc....
Jack Black, Tim Robbins, and Mandvi are killing it.
Also, Carla Gugino might be the sexiest woman alive.
On a side note, HBO is crushing original programing right now.

Kind of a hard series to pick up for a second season. Especially with the same people or concept

It's not hard to figure out.
Established actors are already hard enough to continue the series. Add In a very limited scope of plot for the show (brink of nuclear war), and you can see the issues they would have.
It was likely signed and created with the intention of being a 1 time thing

The brink is great.
Of the shows on HBO Sunday night I like it the most, maybe followed by Ballers, True Detective has been a miss this year, IMO.
I look forward to Brink. Uncle Creepy is the man. I love John Laroquette's character too. He wants to see the rapture.

I didn't like Ballers at first, either, but I stuck with it, and it's had a quite a few near crying-while-laughing moments the last several episodes. The last two episodes have been awesome.
Also, Pablo Schreiber (Z-Pak) and Erik Laden (Jammer) are my favorite two characters on The Brink. That comedic dynamic rivals Dinesh and Gilfoyle from SV.
