i only watch Westworld of these 3, but good to hear it got renewed. Had heard rumors of it being so expensive and viewership down they might pull the plug.

I have never liked horseface. I always see her as her Sex and the city character, which I remember not liking.

Unless they have some good new stuff in the works, they really had no choice but to renew these. What else would they put on? Not enough time to write a script and get to work on something new. I expect one or two of these to be canceled after the 2nd season, for sure.

I think Insecure and Divorce are funny but I can see why this board wouldn't even give those shows the time of day.

I guess this would be SPOILERS for Divorce, if anyone cares.

I watched about 5 minutes of Divorce. In it, they made an equivalency between the husband having an emotional connection with an old college female friend and the wife getting fricked up and down by another man because she wasn't getting orgasms at home.

Turned that off.

I have been pleasantly surprised how funny this show is.

Insecure is solid. Divorced is awful. How are they gonna drag it out once they are finally divorced?

I won't get too excited for Westworld until they start shooting season 2.

There have been several recent HBO renewals that were cancelled after the initial renewal.

Westworld looks expensive AF so I could see a cancellation if rating continue to decline.

This is great and all, but if we can't get the numbers up for that show it's going to go the way of Deadwood.

Westworld is great.

Insecure and Divorce are both entertaining and funny.

They're stupid cheap to produce. I think comedies will get a better hearing at HBO since the success of Silicon Valley. The Brink would have probably made it if it weren't for cost - had a lot of potential.

dont get me wrong, i love westworld, but how on earth are they going to carry it on longer? theyre clearly killing the first season with the cast and writing, but where do you go once these plots end?

they should've done an 8 or 10 episode one-off season imo. you can only do so much

I see them tying things together about getting TO the maze. That's your cliffhanger - Season 2 can be entirely in the maze and/or the fallout from either Ford's ouster OR his beating back the bean counters.

Now, the plan is for 5 seasons - so I'm with you on "where do they go from here" - but with this cast and group of writers and directors, there is a lot of potential.

Chris Nolan said today they already have season 2 written and like said above, the plan is for 5 seasons.
