Has Sam Elliot Ever NOT Been Old?

I was catching up on season 2 of The Ranch last night and it got me wondering about this.
Tombstone was 1993 and he looked then.
Road House was 1989 and he even looked old then.
Hell, even in Lifeguard in 1976 he was the old guy teaching the new guy the ropes and getting beat in the race looking like an old man.

He was old. It was a mercy killing.

Wilford Brimley has always seemed old, too. He was only 49 or 50 in The Natural.

Maybe he's an immortal, currently amusing himself by being an actor?

He was 51 when Cocoon came out and he plays a 75 year old man.

Has always looked older. He played a 70-something year old in Cocoon when he was 50 years old. The actors playing his best friends in the film, Don Ameche and Hume Cronyn, were old enough to be his dad.

People that go bald or grey early, they look that way forever. So a 40 year old grey haired guy looks the same 20 years later for the most part.

It's the stache.

It was quite odd seeing him 'stacheless on Justified.

Yeah he needs to stache to hide that dumb smirk he makes while talking.

I remember my mom and my aunts going nuts over him in Mask

I bet that dude never had a problem getting laid

I just recently realized he was in We Were Soldiers.

Hell he looks 40 in his high school pic

Sam Elliot is one of the many vampires in Hollywood. You just never notice them. Ice Cube is another. So is Barbara Bush.

Heck, even when he was tapping Cher back in Mask he had the grey hair thing going.
