and I just didn't know it? I thought Kimmels tribute to Letterman was pretty touching. a little strange that he idolized him as a kid, but hey, look at him now

Every Seinfeld interview I've ever seen, he's never shown any semblance of humility or respect for anyone else. He's just kind of a dick who thinks too highly of himself because he had huge success doing Larry David's comedy on a show with his name on it. Here's the contrast between him and other comedians who don't take themselves as seriously as he does.

I met him IRL in Lincoln a few years back. Seemed fine to me. He's quiet, kind of an introvert, but polite.

Wow. How was that NOT a bit? I think some of you are easily manipulated by headlines. Just because it said
in big letters above the video doesn't mean that's what the video was about. Someone really needs to invent that sarcasm font.

These guys that think Seinfeld is a dick must think Rickles is a sociopath
It's his comedy style, Seinfeld has been doing the incredulous smart guy routine since the 80s
That is why he and Larry David get along so well, they have a similar world view and take on what is funny.

Larry King was notorious for doing interviews unprepared and learning about the guest on the air. It is an old radio routine that he often fell back on. When he did it with Jerry Seinfeld, it opened the door for jerry to frick with him. Once that door was opened, jerry gutted him to everyone's (but Larry's) enjoyment.

This. It wasn't Jerry doing Larry's work. they are both pretty much the same and both will say they aren't b/c that's their egocentric type sense of humor.
