I really think Lucas' writing and directing is to blame. Christensen isn't that bad of an actor.

It's not like he came up with those lines.

I didn't like the christensen casting but I don't blame him alone for how bad anak in was. He was written that way.

Shattered Glass and Jumper - great in the first one and good in the second one

Daniel Day Lewis couldn't save that line.

Yeah I was going to say Shattered Glass as well. I read that the prequels did way more harm than good for his career, and he wanted to take a break after all the hate he was getting.

Dude still gets to plow Rachel Bilson, though. So it's not all bad for him I guess.

I thought he was really good in Shattered Glass but I haven't seen that movie in 10 years. I think the problem with the prequels are the scripts. That being said I just watched the trailers for 3 Hayden Christensen movies and he seems awful in all 3.

I always thought Cameron Diaz ruined Gangs of New York.

At some point Lucas should have seen the film and said, you are coming off like a whiny bitch, let's try reshooting that in a different way. Hayden is not who I would have chose, but to me it is clear that Lucas is to blame.

Cameron Diaz ruins everything she has ever been in.

Except maybe The Mask and that Julia Roberts movie. Other than that, she was terrible.

My whole family loved him as Lex. And he was far better than Leto's joker.

Leto sucked, but he was hardly in the movie and it was a bad movie, anyways.

That movie was terrible in so many respects outside of what Eisenberg did, but yeah...his Luthor was a damn abortion of a choice.

Oh...to preempt it...

I mean...if your whole family had never seen Lex Luthor before I can MAYBE see this...but had they seen the REAL Lex, this is impossible.

Guess I should have phrased it character. Lucas did him no favors. Leto bothers me more as pure acting because the movie Joker had been done so much better.
