Harmony One remote and your Smart TV

Is there a way for me to access my apps on my smart TV w/ a Harmony One remote or do I have to use my TV remote? (i.e.

Search for a vieracast command (I know it works with my Harmony and my Panny DMP-BDT110 bluray)
If that fails, learn the command from the TV remote

I created an "Activity" on mine called "Watch Apps", and added the necessary commands to open the App menu or specific apps. You can make it do anything the TV remote can do.
