Hannibal or Vikings?

True Detective season is about to be over so I need a new show to throw into the rotation. Haven't seen season 1 of either so I'd have to go back and watch that. Suggestions outside of these two are also helpful.

DVR both of the new seasons. I would probably go with Vikings, but it is a really close call. You should watch both of them when you get a chance.

I haven't seen Vikings yet...so I can't really give an opinion. But Hannibal was the best new show of 2013 for me.

It's a really damn good show. It's pretty dark and I'm surprised it's on a network channel. It's fx and amc quality

I love both shows, but Hannibal almost has a feel of True Detective.
I look at Hannibal as True Detective lite and Viking as GoT lite.

Hannibal is a damn good show. The murders may actually be darker than TD.
Vikings had surprisingly good production quality. Both are worth watching and you can probably catch up in one day.
