Halt and Catch Fire - 1 Month Until Season 3

This is one of the most underrated shows on television. Ratings haven't been great, but AMC keeps renewing it because the writing and character development is pure gold. I would highly recommend getting caught up with this one. Season 3 premiers August 23rd.
The show takes place in the early 80s during the tech boom. Season 1 has three misfits come together to build a better machine and make it more affordable for the public. In season 2, they all chase their own million dollar ideas. I'm really excited to see how this one plays out. I don't want to spoil anything, but the end of season 2 set everything up very well. Can't wait for new episodes!

I'll start watching this show eventually. Caught my attention watching some of the premier, but just don't have the time right now.

The acting on that show is terrific. However, the first season was meh. The second season was great because they decided to focus on the most interesting characters. The music for the series is excellent -- lots of obscure new wave and punk from the 80s.

The first season was important though. Cameron and Gordon needed a push to get out of the 9 to 5 grind and Joe is the one that gave them that push. That was the whole point of season 1 IMO.

I was just asking my wife about the start of the next season. She assured me that it was on our calendar.
It's a bit of a Forrest Gump kind of show, with the characters seemingly being nearby for every big tech leap in the 80's, but I enjoy it.

Season one seemed to have a bit more almost explicit sex in it, and as a Cameron fan, that got me hooked into the show. Now, I just really enjoy it & am glad it's coming back. But still like Cameron as a stand alone, a lot.

Cameron has the most going for her out of any character. Gordon could be way more successful, but he always seems to screw up. Joe is just an a-hole. He tricks you into thinking he has a soul, then you realize he is just a heartless bastard.

Cameron is really smart. She's way smarter than Gordon, who is a sad sack frick up, and Joe, who is a sociopath. Like if they do a time jump to 2016, Cameron will be someone who is loaded with a big-time job in Silicon Valley, Joe will probably be a con man and Gordon will be dead....

Glad they decided to press on despite the ratings. I like the show.
