Gretchen Mol as Joan from Mad Men

Alternate casting question. I'm finishing up Boardwalk Empire, and I've become convinced that Gretchen Mol, Jimmy's mother, could have played Joan on Mad Me. She has the exact same disposition.

Hard to imagine anyone else in that role, but Gretchen could be good in anything. Really liked her in Life on Mars.

Joan agreed to sleep with the Jaguar client to secure a 5% partnership. This is aside from her other office relationships.
Gretchen is tied with not only sleeping with Harvey to launch her career but also sleeping with multiple others including landing her husband a directing job.
