Are you saying Armageddon is better or just as good as Gravity? Honest question, I have not read this whole thread.

Don't pay attention to him. He's clearly trolling. Plus Armageddon is indisputably worse simply due to the Animal Cracker scene, which may be the worst scene in cinematic history.

Movie is incredible, must see in 3D in my opinion. CGI is the best I've seen.

it accomplished everything it set out to do and it was almost like a one of those interactive rides at disney world. some breathtaking shots and the score was awesome

cant give it 5 stars with the lack of story and sometimes facepalm-worthy dialogue, though. the brother mustve handled the dialogue haha

Gravity on track to gross anywhere between $35-40 million in its second weekend of release. Should push it well over the $100 million domestic mark.

Very good way to describe this movie. Story was dumb, but it sure was pretty.

Not sure I could watch it again. Definitely wouldn't want to see it anywhere else besides a theater. I would give it a bad rating just for that, would you want to watch a cell phone video of a Disney ride? No, you actually want to go on the ride.

Just a question..

Does anyone think more backstory would have added or taken away from the movie?

On one hand...I kinda loved how you're just caught up in the situation and feel the urgency...

Then again...I kinda wanted to know more about the Matt and Stone (no South Park reference intended) characters.

The reason I say this...

Because this movie makes me think of "Sunshine" by Danny Boyle. Obviously different. But its about characters making decisions that affects the rest of the story (excusing the awful 3rd act). In Sunshine....I enjoyed getting to know the other characters and how they conversed.

Obviously Gravity is more of a personal story...I'm just wondering....would it have better. .Then again...Maybe the movie was hitting on that no matter what happened before in your life....you've got to move ahead and keep living.
