I've always been a big fan of Sidney Lumet. One of his lesser known movies is Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.
The cast includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Albert Finney, and Marisa Tomie.
Very underrated film in my opinion.

Lee Child is the author of 17 Jack Reacher novels. I've read them all. One of my favorite authors. In the books Reacher is 6'5" and 250lbs. Cruise didn't quite measure up, but I liked the movie all the same.

Oliver Stone's "U-Turn" ('97) seems to have evaporated. One of the best dark / twisted comedies ever made and I think Stone's best effort of all. (Sean Penn, Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Voight, Clare Danes, Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Nolte, etc..)
