I watched Bridge of Spies recently and one thing that made an impression on me was the way blue was used with Americans as a contrast with Soviet red. I thought it was an interesting movie overall, although, not historically accurate in some ways.

What movies stand out to you because of the way different colors were used?

What Dreams May Come is fantastic.

Ditto for the television series Breaking Bad - virtually every color you see has a meaning, particularly clothing and interior decorations.

It Follows did a great job with this, especially with red and white.

American History X with the past in black and white and the present in color.

...if that counts.

Falling Down had a filter that tinted the LA sun into a merciless beatdown on DFENS.

Perfect depiction of LA life

"187" with Samuel L. Jackson was similar

Heat - 1995

Bluish-green tint that kept things cool and subdued.

Movie wouldn't have been nearly the same any other way.

The Cooler

Had a 60's/70's Vegas vibe to match the "stuck in the past" atmosphere and mindset of the casino's owner (Alec Baldwin)
