It just seemed to be the wrong way to go, even if you wanted some kind of female cast (which, to me, is hypocritical, because we're supposed to be doing things in more diverse ways. All female =/= diverse.)

Right. Making the cast all female while still using the same 3-1 ratio of the first (both in terms of scientists AND race) screams gimmick rather than being diverse.

I clicked it the way I'd click a link to a skateboard injury video. I assumed it was going to make me cringe, but curiosity got the better of me.

And, now I regret having clicked it.

It really does.

After watching it a second time it's clear to me that the filmmakers are relying on the success of the original. They have to mention at the beginning something about the original Ghostbusters before preceding to show that these new Ghostbusters exist in a totally DIFFERENT universe.

The CGI looks too cartoonish for my taste, there is no valid excuse for the presence of Leslie Jones's character, and the humor is trying way too hard. The only thing I like about this trailer is Kate McKinnon and not because she's a good actress. IWHI.

This is the saddest part of the whole deal.

If you're complaining about the CGI, then you're just looking for reasons to hate this movie.

I can maybe understand:
"I hate that (fat/black/lesbian) actress."
"Women aren't funny."
"They ruined my childhood."
"I'll never be able to masturbate to Slimer ever again."

But the CGI looks amazing.

They completely copied the 'librarian' ghost scene from Ghostbusters. Where's the creativity in that?

This whole thing seems like an SNL short mocking Ghostbusters.

Leslie Jones was actually the least offensive thing in that trailer to me. At least she seemed like she was a unique character.

Kristen Wiig didn't exude any charm or screen presence at all...and I generally enjoy her work.

No, it really doesn't. Some of those ghosts look like they have come straight out of the Ghostbusters video game.

It looks "nice," as in colorful and fluid, but it looks WAY out of place in the film.

Yes, a street wise black person who "knows New York", is over the top loud and screams a lot for no reason, and doesn't mind the car being a hearse because it's a Cadillac. Very unique.

Anyone else feel that changing Ecto-1 from a Cadillac ambulance to a hearse is a fitting metaphor for what to expect from this movie?

Don't look too bad to me

I never thought ghostbusters was anything special tho so obviously my feelings aren't too strong either way

I was way more pissed at the vacation and plains and trains remakes
