Good to see both Bender and Sapochnik getting the nomination. Kit is surprising to me getting the nomination. Maisie getting the nomination is awesome as well. Surprised Price didn't get nominated.

Shame The Winds of Winter got little love. I thought that was the best episode of the series.

The actress who plays Lady Mormont deserves Best Supporting Actress.

It's a tough call between it and Bastards. Granted the single shot of Kit I think put it over the top for directing, so that's why it's the one that is more nominated. Wouldn't shock me if they submitted Winds though as the episode up for "Best Drama" portion of GoT.

IMO Kit deserves to win it over Peter for Season 6. He really stepped up his acting game; plus Jin was much more of a prominent character than Tyrion was this season.

It really was a strong season. Not perfect mind you, but certainly put to rest all those who were worried about it due to passing the books. In my opinion it has 3 of the top 5 or 6 episodes of the whole series in this one year. I'm sure it will be reflected in wins at the Emmy's.

Battle of the Bastards should win every technical award they give out easily.

I think the reason is the episode barely fit within the nomination deadline. They probably thought they were better off submitting other episodes.

I think they submit multiple episodes for that, so it will be one of them.

Tyrell Wellick (don't know real name) and Christian Slater should have at least been nominated

Kit played Jon to perfection. Probably my favorite actor under 30 right now.

How did Liam Cunningham not get nominated for anything? His performance in Winds of Winter alone should've been enough for at least a nomination.

Price was in too many episodes for guest actor.

Glad to see Harrington and Clarke get nominations, too. I think most of the criticism for them comes from past seasons where their characters had less to do. People who keep saying Emilia Clarke is a terrible actress weren't paying close attention this season, IMO.

For the most part, I've never cared about the Emmys, but I
do hope the show repeats for Outstanding Drama Series. Of the nominees, I've also seen Better Call Saul, House of Cards, and Mr. Robot. I'll take Thrones over Mr. Robot by a decent margin, and I'll take it over Better Call Saul and House of Cards in a landslide. I keep hearing good things about the Americans, though.
