Meh. Life is too short to get let down by Hollywood when that's clearly on the horizon.

Affleck is literally perfect

Meh.

I've seen looks like a comic book batman come to life.

I wasn't impressed with Bale's Batman, and he's a "no shite" actor. Without Silent Bob directing him, Affleck has about a D average with me.

What part of "I won't even watch trailers" are you have trouble with?

Not really.

You're just being dumb and shortsighted.

I was the same as well but I still had an open mind and was willing to give them a chance. I really like what I'm seeing from Affleck in BvS and Suicide Squad trailers.

Bale's batman was not a comic book batman. He was too small, didn't fight very well and did not do the detective work that Batman is famous for. And that voice was just annoying.

Affleck's Batman is pure physicality and comic booky come to life from the trailers I've seen.

When I see Cavill's Superman and Affleck's Batman, I see this....

The part where I can't respect or even accept your opinion if you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Or I'm carefully marshalling the time and energy I spend investing in film. Of course, I'm here arguing on the internet about it, so there's that.

I would encourage you to watch the film, then. I'll never be convinced by an Affleck Batman or a Gadot WW, so I'm just passing.

You cats that get excited about this stuff - does it take away from your enjoyment if I just flat out refuse to play along? I'm sorry if that's the case, but when I know I'm not going to like something, I'm usually (not always) right.

And they just fail with these comic franchises - over and over. The first Spiderman was okay. The first X-Men was watchable. Watchmen was actually pretty good. The first Iron Man was alright. The first Avengers was pretty good - probably my favorite of the modern crop.

But, the rest? It's just targeted at middle schoolers, I feel, and I've just gotten past all that. I read a lot of comic books in the 70s and 80s, baw.

ut with Affleck as Batman and Gadot as WW?

No way in hell. I won't even watch trailers.

Affleck has strong potential to steal the entire movie. shite, they gave him his own stand alone based on his performance so far. In the previews he looks great. I actually think he will make one of the better Waynes we've seen. I'm excited about the take on an older Batman. And I'm super excited about Suicide Squad.

As for Superman: The last Superman Movie sucked because Snyder doesn't understand or doesn't care about the actual character. He is supposed to represent good and be the shining light of hope. In the last movie he is a stupid little punk bitch with the world's worst Pa Kent. Yall can call me an idiot or whatever, but I hate what Snyder is doing to Supes. And I think Wonder Woman is going to just be stupid. I can't describe it other than stupid. I don't think they'll be able to fit her into this universe correctly and the characters are already so messed up it won't be worth it anyway.

Is that pic from the new 52? It has been a long time since I read comics just was saying in the animated stuff they don't really give muscle definition nor super girl.

Yes I remember she has boobs......Baw.

All I really have seen of her lately is from justice league animated series and young justice. She is not drawn with much if any muscle tone.

This is why Gina was perfect for the role. Wonder Woman is typically awkward sometimes but she's very warm and genuine at the same time. Gina fit that description perfectly.

No. Just No.

Lynn Collins should have been Wonder Woman

I think he will be the best on screen Batman and Wayne yet (other than The Animated Series of course).

Yep. It's a comic book brought to life. They look fantastic on screen as the characters.

Good. So since you're going to pass on the film, you should probably pass on this thread as well.

Fair enough, but I came in specifically to criticize what I consider to be the catastrophic casting decision of Gadot as WW - not a broader condemnation of a film I will likely never watch.

Peace out, sheeple.

See I agree with Affleck as the Bat. But Cavill just doesn't do it for me

I certainly wouldn't have minded her either. She and Gina looked perfect for the role and youreally couldn't go wrong with either of them. In fact, I've already mentioned her as a possible casting before the gal news broke.

Don't let a film like MoS ruin your perception of him as Superman. Once he gets into character as the Superman we all know and love, he'll be amazing. Hell, his clark kent looks amazing and right out of the comics too.

I thought Brandon Routh was a very good Superman and I still regard returns as a very terrible movie.

still my vote for who should have been cast. Imagine Daddario with a little more muscle definition...
