And Verizon, for selling out to them. In Florida, Verizon sold all their FIOS services to Frontier with little thought to a smooth transition. Frontier took over April 1, clearly unprepared. On demand movies, tv, etc. are in shambles. Obvious fact: Let the customer be fricked.
Alternative is Brighthouse, which I fled for Verizon. I guess maybe it's either direct TV or pull the plug and deal with streaming?
Does anybody out there have any good experience with Frontier.com?

No issues with tv or internet since the switch.

But it hasnt been a smooth transition for them at all. Even signing up on their page was a pain in the arse. They told me it will be a few more days for the app and watch tv online to be ready.

I havent checked because we been pretty busy with after school activities.

Frontier used to run things in my hometown when the internet first started being a "thing" everyone wanted. They were pure garbage and eventually got run out of town as everyone switched to satellite internet (yes, they were that bad) and TV. It would surprise me if they improved any.

Like a good scout, a couple of days ago, I tried to open a Frontier.com account and get a password, to do their email, get the mobile app, and all that.

Silly me. I jumped thru all their hoops to open it and get that password, and got to the last question that required an up or down answer:
(paraphrasing) - "I agree to allow Frontier to send me all their promotional crap. My response (yes or no) will not determine my eligibility to open this account."
or
(paraphrasing) - "I do not agree."

Liking to not be harassed on email or text, I chose to not agree. Again, silly me.

Frontier could not open my account or give me a password for some lame reason.

But, being an optimist, I tried again. Same result. I never agreed. I tried a third time. Zilch.

So like a fool, I called their support "help" line and actually got to talk with a human being of sorts. This poor young thing clearly had a list of canned responses, none of which explained or acknowledged why I could not open my Frontier account and get a password. Nor did she show any inner ability to comprehend why I was calling, even though I spoke very slowly and calmly (at first) and explained to her my reason.

I'm all but done with them. Any hope?

Nope, up in countryside right now and conversion was rocky. However, VOD movies were free first weekend due to a glitch

Not leaving though as 50mbs up/down speed!!!

I know it took me a few tries to sign up and that was even after April 1st. Like you, I opt out of that promo stuff and I am not sure if that was the issue but it eventually went thru.

I actually got my 1st bill today and it wasnt all jacked up, surprisingly.

I havent downloaded the app because of the known problems but I still see I cant watch from my laptop as well.

When I spoke to them I used the chatbox and the girl was clueless. I kept telling her I was trying to watch from my laptop and not the app for my phone. But it was like she was ignoring "watch from my laptop"

I am not going to jump ship yet because my tv/internet is still great as the other guy said, that download speed. So I will see how it goes, not under contract if I ever decide to bail
