Amazon delivered today. The bonus features are solid. You can tell JJ and the crew had a real love/reverence for Stars Wars.

I'm glad he's not. J.J. Abrams is incredibly effective at launching universes. J.J. was a good and safe choice due to this. He doesn't really maintain them. Just plants the seeds and lets another group of people come in and take care of it from there.
Rian Johnson though is a very inspired choice who can clearly write and direct. He really could be an Irvin Kershner, which is needed for obvious reasons. Episode VIII should be smaller, but more poignant, and Johnson can pull this off.

Could you fricking imagine? Really the prequels get dumb when you think about them, but it would be right out of the gate with Snyder behind them. But Snyder thinks The Force Awakens is worse than Man of Steel simply because the movie kills more people.

Got it today. I really should get some studying done tonight but I may watch it tonight anyway. If I do I'm worried I'll end up watching all the deleted scenes too

after watching this movie, I wanted JJ to remake all of them. This is one of my all time favorites and #1 of all the star wars films.

I'd be shocked if they didn't remake the prequels after this. Everyone hates them, and the only reference so far directly to them was using a clone army, and even that's an insult to the prequels on how much clones suck as characters and building tension. Finn's creation was in direct response to this.

Because Rey and Finn don't start making out immediately when the planets were destroyed. It's the context of it, which Snyder has absolutely no understanding of.
