This movie doesn't get close to the amount of credit it deserves. Especially in sports movie discussions.

Vin Scully is a warrior poet in this movie. Brilliant.

Push the sun back up into the sky and give us one more day of summer

Was it too close to the steroid discussions and outings? People seemed to give no fu--s about it.

One of the greatest? IMHO, nope. But I will stop when it is on.

I'm a big fan of that part. For some reason its really stuck with me over the years.

I also agree that its a very underrated sports movie.

Without question one of my favorite sports movies ever. The way he describes being on the mound and having everything blur...just great.

Kelly Preston is also great in it.

But then, Costner has two of the best sports movies ever, in that and Bull Durham. Both are really exceptional looks at baseball and so true in how they represent things.

Love the back and forth aspect from current time to past as he relives certain moments throughout his career. really liked how they focused on his relationships with his teammates just as much as the girl.

Kevin Costner = GOAT baseball actor

I love the ending when the opposing sports fans started pulling for him

Field of Dreams is also a GOAT sports movie, even though it is deeper than sports.

For Love of the Game is also the best date movie ever made. My wife and I both love the movie for totally different reasons. Every now and then we'll watch because it's always a movie we can agree on.

Field of dreams isn't even a baseball movie much less a sports movie.

Bull Durham is GOAT.
