For me it's a tie between "aliens" and "The return of the living dead", I watched them both when I was 4 years old and I was completely blown away.

"Return" hit home being I lived right next to a cemetery, and "aliens" was just mindblowing, hadnt yet contemplated other life "out there" being so brutal.

What films made the MB think twice before walking into a dark room?

The original black and white Blob (saw on TV when I was 6).

Time Bandits (pure evil and skeletons) in the theater less than a year later.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Scared the shite out of me when the kid is going to rip the heart out of Indy.

IT def fricked me up for a while. I still irrationally hate clowns, and I'm convinced it's entirely because of that movie

"The be-deviled master of all that is evil"

Horror of Dracula (1958)

Saw it in a theater that showed older movies because that's all they could get. I was in 4th grade.
