Still high on the show, even though they clearly hate black men.
I wonder if the Mexican family that owns the barber shop is going to evacuate with the step-dad... they should if they know what's good for them.
I also wonder if there is a going to be a zombie hoard/traffic jam scene like in the World War Z book, that would be bad arse.

So does it seem like the cops are aware of what's going on and just not saying much?
The cop who shot the grunge chick walker did so pretty quickly so it seems like they are aware of the danger to a degree
I'm sure they don't want to spread panic, but they aren't telling the public anything and trying to cover it up almost
They know something is going on but are still trying to process it themselves. The homeless guy the riot was started over was apparently shot like 20 times. The lady cop tried to command the grunge chick walker to stop before she started shooting.

I think he's talking about the stepdad's son, the one filming that protest/rally thing.
If that's the case then I agree with him completely. Dude's a waste of oxygen.
A bit off topic but I'm having a hard time taking the stepdad seriously because when he appears I automatically think of Eugene Levy from the American Pie movies.

You talking 'bout Tobias? Don't be going around talking about Tobias like that. He is going to be a combination of Darryl Dixon, Michone and Rick on this show.
We'll probably learn later in the show that he is Eugene's son.

I'm sure he embellished his resume a bit, he's kind of known for it.

I saw a small documentary on sperm banks once.
There you had to be a certain height, no criminal history, had to pass a physical and do all kinds of obstacles.
But then I think they made around $200-400 a pop. I was thinking I could fap my way into Forbes.

Was wondering how you know so much about sperm bank requirements.

I really think this show has the makings of something special.
I am looking forward to it more than TWD.
The beginning of the outbreak is by far the most interesting part to me.

I really hope they somehow allude to what caused the virus and/or where it came from
The quicker the shite hits the fan though, the less chance I think we hear about it.

Pretty sure Kirkman said they would never say what started the outbreak.

What if it is waterborne?
Or what if people are stockpiling water because that is what they do when disaster strikes?
Did you notice in the first episode he was fixing a sink? Sinks have water. Do you think that was a coincidence? I think I saw a toilet too but I have to go back and verify that.

I MUCH prefer this setup to the original walking dead. Origin stories are always best. Plus I like the majority of the characters so far, and that definitely was not the case with the waking dead outside of a few exceptions.

That's what surprised me so far. Didnt take long to set the backstory and establish some character depth. Bam. 2 episodes in SHTF.
That said I really like it so far.

The 8 Most Ridiculous Things From Last Night's 'Fear The Walking Dead'
I was wondering this too.
They look at his bite wound, see that he's sick, and nobody has any questions?
They also realllly hate the dad's son.

This poor guy doesn’t even get to ask his parents how their road trip to Vegas went (ATTENTION: THIS SHOW TAKES PLACE IN LOS ANGELES) because he got bit and— hey. Wait. How come nobody in the room was like, “JESUS! THIS BITE! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!” They’re just like, yeah, shrug, you got bit. We all live in LA and we all know this happens all the time.
