Gabriel's Oboe by Ennion Morricone from The Mission. Perfect piece.

My favorite and most appropriate for the movie is "Goldfinger".

Gabriel's Oboe--a technical question for anyone that plays that instrument. How does the instrument do that warbling sound towards the end of a note? Is it just the design of the instrument or is it done with the lips or air volume or what? For sure, it's one hell of a beautiful sound.

There are some really good mentions in this thread. I don't think it's the best, but I think the use of "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed in Trainspotting was really good. It made that scene a lot more powerful.
