Just realized that Patrick Swayze has been dead for 7 years. Yesterday, 9/14, was the anniversary of his death.

Top five for me in no particular order

The Outsiders
Roadhouse
Dirty Dancing
Point Break
Red Dawn

Wasn't a Patrick Swayze movie per se, but he was awesome in Donnie Darko.

His best character was in Point Break, but there's something about Roadhouse. I could watch that movie a hundred times.

My favorite bad movie of all time. I literally can watch it once a month and never get sick of it. In fact, I might watch it tonight.

Number two for me is Dirty Dancing. Yea that's right. I said it.

I un-ironically loved Red Dawn when I was a kid. Outsiders was cool too.

He's still a legend in his old Houston neighborhood LINK

My mom grew up in Houston, took dancing lessons from his mom and remembers Patrick being a kid in her studio.

My favorite is him calling Tom Cruise "little man" in Outsiders.

Completely forgot about this movie.

I will also add "Youngblood" to the list.

That's cool. She passed away in 2013. The neighborhood paper did a story a couple years ago and talked about Patrick hanging around the studio with all the girls his mom taught: LINK
Patsy was pretty damned accomplished in her own career.

It's a close call for me between Point Break and Roadhouse. Using the number of throat rips as a tie breaker, I will go with Roadhouse.
