I have to watch it twice. Always subtle things going on that I always miss during the first watch.

Any importance to the notes that the girlfriend found in the brother's desk drawer?

It looked like a bank log/record book to a safe deposit box.

Wonder if that is the "loan" info.

Vargas and the two guys who threw Emmet's lawyer off the parking lot barge in on Emmett's office and starting moving a truckload of files into their "new wing." Vargas tells them that he loves Minnesota because it is so "bland" and this is a perfect place for them to operate their money laundering business. He makes it clear to Emmitt and Sy that they have no choice in the matter and in not so many words admit that they killed the lawyer.

It's been boring and dry honestly, and McGregor is a good actor but the half Minnesota half Scottish accent is pretty bad, I already wish they had went with somebody else. Varga seems like a Bond villian not a Fargo villian, I'm sticking with it though.

Definitely been the weakest season so far, but it's only 2 episodes in. If it doesn't get better over the next two episodes, I'll panic.

I'm in agreement that two episodes in it is nowhere near the first two seasons in terms of body count or intriguing characters. I'll stick with it, though.

Same here. I was hoping for a nudity warning last night on the lead in hoping to see that broads arse again.

1.5 bodies per episode so far. Not sure how many first two shows had other seasons.

Not liking it as much as season two, but that was the best for me. Got faith it will keep me intrigued.

It was a receipt for a safe deposit box. The date on the receipt was for the month that the episode was set in, so the inference (to her) was that the brother had recently moved the stamp to a safe deposit box.

I couldn't care less about bodies. There isn't one intriguing character on this show yet nor one I care about.

It's definitely a far cry from Lorne Malvo and Lester Nygaard. I think maybe Hawley got a little too cocky or comfortable with the series, just plug in whoever for the cast and write whatever and it'll work. Nobody in the cast is selling that they are "Fargo", they all look like actors acting. Instead of focusing on the region and it's inhabitants, we have Germans, Russians, an English villian, a Scottish actor, fancy houses, fancy offices, it doesn't seem like Fargo. And it was fun the first two seasons when there would be an occasional subtle name drop to the movie, now it seems like they almost stop the show to make sure you see it, "yaa you should go talk to STAN GROSSMAN!!!"

I'm loving Vargas. Best character so far. Interested in how this will all play out.

I'm not real thrilled at the moment. Seems like standard money laundering plot. Somebody will do something to VM, McGregor will go on the run and those two guys will track him down.

Rinse, repeat. Curtain.
