Pretty sure Daenerys has already been defined as bisexual by the writers including Martin so I don't see it as a huge departure from what might be expected.

I was in England this past week, and the woman who plays Yara was on one of the BBC morning talk shows. She is actually feminine... makeup.... dressed up.... not unattractive. I would.

People have an issue with making established straight characters gay. You didn't see an uproar with Brooklyn 99, did you?
