This movie is fricking horrendous. Please explain to me why it's so highly rated on rotten tomatoes.

Because every moment is cringeworthy and the movie is full of unlikeable characters.

Fantastic description

From what I've heard it's in the same category as John Huges films, so sounds like it's pretty good

It just ended. Holy shite, that's the worst movie I've ever seen. It's all the worse because it actually flows from scene to scene as though it's a good movie, but the content of each scene is just completely annoying and lacks any redeeming charm or anything.

Is that the one where Zac Efron and Matthew Perry switch bodies?

Just saw it the other night, thought it was great. Reminded me a bit of myself at that age except for the cute asian boyfriend.

Saw it about a month ago and didn't mind it. It wasn't "OMG gotta buy this now" amazing but I didn't think it was bad either. Just a good, awkward coming of age movie centered around an unpopular girl.

Edge of 17 was fantastic. It wasn't the best movie I saw last year but it might have been my favorite. Excellent film. This was a coming of age movie from a teenage female perspective. The only way I could think someone would hate it is if you just hate these types of movies. If that's the case, why in the world would you watch it?

Because it was a good movie.

I liked it; my wife liked it; other posters in this thread liked it; and the critics liked it.

Sounds like a you issue.

Or your around 22 years old and one of those who thinks every thing is the worst or the best ever

Have to disagree. Thought it was really funny and loved Woody as the teacher.

I'll agree with you. I didn't like it either. The main character was a huge bitch. I couldn't stand her voice by the end of it.

I rather enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing Hailee Steinfield in additional big roles.

She nailed it.

I'm with you. The lead character was very unlikeable and I don't blame everyone for hating her. She should star in Season 2 of 13 Things.
