I have searched and didnt see anything, so those of you that ditched cable, what programs do you use to record over the air signal? I'm planning on ditching my cable service on the 1st so i'm trying to get all the stuff i need ahead of time.

Find a good TV tuner card that will work with Windows Media Center.. WMC will download your local tv listings and you can configure it to record your shows.

quick follow up question, I'm looking for a tuner on Newegg and i'm not seeing any of them that specifically say windows media center compatible. Is it pretty much standard that they will work wit it?

You shouldn't have an issue with a card. The external boxes can be a bit of challenge though. Google the model you want to buy and you should be able to find out.

Yeah I'm going to go with a box because I'm going to be running this off my laptop. I'm going to use the savings to buy a Mac mini in the near future, but for now it will work. Thanks again for the info.
