As I learned of this band's existence on here, I thought I would share a link to a stream of the new album about to be released "Be the Void":

I just ran around my apartment screaming...

Then clicked the link.

I probably like Dr. Dog too much.

Did not know Team Coco was a fan. That's kind of cool.

Where should someone unfamiliar with Dr. Dog start?

Saw this on Facebook earlier. Can't wait to listen when I get off of work. Fate and Shame Shame are 2 really great albums. I hope my expectations aren't too high.

If it's cool, Team Coco is probably on board.

Some will say Fate. I say Shame, Shame. That album is un-fricking-believable.

ETA: That's a 5000th post recommendation.

Anywhere really. Their stuff is so listenable. I say We All Belong or Shame, Shame probably.

Just finished my first listen.

Your expectations aren't too high at all. I won't say more than that.

It's a different sound though, slightly. Different enough to be new territory, but they aren't avoiding their "sound," which I've always described as the ultimate mix of the Beatles and the Beach Boys with modern sensibilities.

Early march DR. Dog will be in Shreveport! At the same place I saw Givers. Typically a $10 ticket joint. Not to rub it in or anything.

I saw them at Tipitina's a couple months back and they were decent. They played about 30 minutes too long and they played their more mellow songs too fast and heavy. They must've played a 90+ minute set and I think 60-70 minutes should be tops for almost any band, no matter how good. IMO, they would seem better suited for big music festivals like Bonnaroo. I'd certainly go see them again if I went to that.

Just got done listening. Decent first listen. Track 4, How Long Must I wait, was the one that really stood out to me. Nice track.

Criticizing a band for...playing too long? I respect your opinion, but I am not sure that I have ever heard of someone complaining about a band playing too long.

I thought they did not play long enough when I saw them. Still a really good show.

Anytime the main act only plays for 1 hour I am disappointed...
