does anyones parents watch GoT?

long story short, went to the parents yesterday and my mom mentioned that she had lunch with her best friend the other day and she recommended GoT.
my mom told me that her and my dad were going to start watching it this week.
well, GoT is my favorite show and im not sure how i feel about this.
they are both 63 and semi retired. their favorite shows are breaking bad, mad men, house of cards, and curb.
anyone else have their parents into GoT? what do they think?

My mom is mid 50s and it's her favorite show. Took her awhile to finally just realize it's fantasy but now loves it. She's reading like book 5 now.

My Dad was a strict Christian and wouldn't watch it no matter how much I recommended it to him. My Mom doesn't watch much TV, but she loves this show.

They're adults. They can do whatever they want. Who cares what they watch on tv?

I care what my mom watches because she has terrible taste and anything she started watching gets cancelled in short order

She brags anytime one of her shows makes it past season 1
She couldn't watch House of Cards either because she turned it off after 2 minutes when Underwood kills a dog off screen in the first scene. When she described it you'd think he found a small puppy and threw it in a microwave, when in fact he was just putting it out of its misery

My dad does, and he loves it. He waits til DVD though, so he has yet to see Season 4.

My parents saw the first episode and never got over the incest and pushing children out of windows part
My dad's more a Magnum PI, Rockford Files, Night Court sort of TV viewer. GOT didn't connect with him very well.

Lol told my wife the same thing. They are ultra conservative but then again my mom loves the tutors

Pretty much my mom...she actually watched S1 with me but I was basically hitting the fast-forward button every 2 minutes.

Some things are better unknown. My elderly mother's latest show is Big Bang Theory. 
That show embodies everything I hate about sitcoms, and it's a real challenge not to say anything.

My mom watches it. I'll watch some episodes with her sometimes. Since I also read the books, I can explain some of the backstory and how things are connecting a little for her. She seems to enjoy it a lot.

My mom comes over every Sunday and watches it with us because she doesn't have HBO and she loves it. It's kind of weird watching it with my mom, but she entertains my 3 year old all day so I deal with it for a day of rest.
