Hoping they don't have the audacity to white wash it: LINK

Too bad Ming-Na Wen is in her 50's now or she'd be perfect to play the character she voiced.

Of course Jaime Chung already played Mulan in Once Upon A Time...

Has the potential to be great.

But how would they use a live action Mushu? Would it be like Drogon??

Yeah, I can't see Mushu adapting well to live action. Granted, I heard they had the talking mice in the live action Cinderella and they apparently pulled it off, so who knows.

Maybe they'll do a live action version of The Rescuers.

I'd say either the Little Mermaid or Pocahontas would be next. Aladdin could be great as well, but they're on touchy grounds with that one because of how iconic Robin Williams was a the Genie.

Yeah, I've actually heard surprisingly great things about it. Was really just expecting another Maleficent to where it's passable but not great. Kinda tempted to go see it, but I don't walk into that movie without a chick present.

I was being a smartass about the Rescuers

I agree with ya though on the next ones they may attempt. Aladdin would have my attention though. Easily my favorite Disney moving growing up.

I took a six year old and an eight year old, expecting to hate it. I actually like how they told the story and gave more back story to Lady Tremaine. You didn't hate the step sisters as much, and the actress who played Cinderella did really well.

It was a lot better than Maleficent, though I like Jolie in that movie, just not anyone else.

Also good to see Rob Stark still working.

If they don't whitewash it, which would be hilariously stupid in this day and age... especially since this movie would make bank in China... there are quite a few good young Asian actresses that could do the role credit. Could it fall on its face and be a horrible bomb?

Well sure, but if you cast right and make sure the shooting script isn't the drizzling poo then this could very easily make a solid profit if not megabucks.

Well, we're still in the day and age where an asian can not get a leading role in Hollywood. Seriously, name one American film that the main character is Asian, besides a film starring Jackie Chan? Only thing I'm coming up on the top of my head is Harold and Kumar.

Granted China becoming the number 2 film industry in the world is a step towards achieving this, but all they're doing is still casting the white guy, having an asian supporting character, simplifying the plots to Chinese likings, and having a scene in China for basically no reason.
