How would you compare these to each other?

And how would you compare each of these to cable service in your area?

TIA

Dish sucks, Directv is the second best option behind ATT UVerse.

Funny. My mom had directtv for 10 years and It sucked dick IMO. She switched to dish and has more channels for less money. Maybe it depends we're you live?

The only reason I had DirecTV was for Sunday ticket. Dish is just better and it doesn't cost as much. If you aren't worried about Sunday Ticket i would roll with Dish.

Wondering the same thing myself. Can't you get CST with Dish, but not DirecTV?

DirecTV is the Anti-Christ of all the video/TV feed providers.

I worked for a company that was a reseller of their product. Lord at the stories I could tell.

What's so bad about DirecTV? I was planning on getting it later this week. My only other options in Lake Charles are Dish and Suddenlink cable.

I cancelled my Suddenlink cable about 2 months ago. Way overpriced for what I was getting.

I have Dish now and my roommate in college had Direct. Direct is awful. Ill be honest, it was the worst cable provider period (to me) until the just recently started offering local channels.

Like already said, Dish gives more channels per buck, but the on demand sucks. So really depends what your looking for.

DIrect has a multiroom DVR that can record 5 channels at once. It seems pretty badass. I was gonna go with them at my new house later this year. TimeWarnerCable service where i live has been abysmal. DISH didnt have this multiroom deal last time I looked.

Somebody convince me I'm wrong.

eta: Just saw DISH now has the hopper multiroom dvr. Still sounds like DTV may be better, but I'll think on it.

yea.. thats there Home Media Center i believe.

Dish just released their 'Hopper', which i think does more, maybe 6 shows at once and greater storage..

ive had Dish for about 5 years, and am happy with it.. I am thinking about switching to Direct TV for a couple of years, just because the 2 year initial plan will save me about $40/month..

i honestly think that Direct and Dish are pretty much the same now.. Dish is a little bit cheaper, but the channel lineups are basically the same

If im ranking providers..

1. Verizon Fios
2. ATT Uverse (but depends on stupid shite, like how far down the street you live from the main connection point)
3. Dish/Direct
4. Everything Else
