Also, where exactly is Gotham City located to where it would have been a key part of the Underground Railroad? I feel like they just threw that in there to reinforce the Wayne's have always been great people

There were routes that went through Jersey. The fugitive slave laws got really strict after 1850 so it's not like they were in the clear once they got out of whatever state they escaped from.

I would have to agree but don't make it sound like its so certain. People have been arguing over the location of metropolis and Gotham for years. Many have Conneticut as a location and there's a lot of people who believe that metropolis and Gotham are on opposite ends of a bay.
