I watched the first episode...I thought coke head's secretary from House of Cards could do better. I don't think I'm into it.

I saw the first 10 minutes.

I don't know who this Drill dude is but Ryan Atwood is gonna put the beatdown on him. Taylor deserved better than that.

I got as far as the chick screaming into the phone at a little kid's baseball game while talking to her boss. OK, so its going to be one of those shows. No one screams like a fool while talking to their boss on the phone.

SPOILERS:

The series is based on Ray Bradbury's excellent short story "The Zero Hour" about an alien invasion of Earth.

I was thinking aliens, and now I think that since you just told me that, I might be back in.

I was wondering about that. While watching the episode I kept saying to myself "this reminds me of that Ray Bradbury story."

The radio performance of "The Zero Hour" is really good .

Made it to the halfway point then dosed off like an old man in my recliner. Too young to be doing that crap. I'm out unless people start raving about it the next few episodes. And hasn't ABC tried and failed numerous times with these alien series?

I don't know what direction the series will go in, but it looks like Drill is already here, whereas in the story he was communicating with the children from afar and asking for their help in bringing him to Earth.

SPOILERS:

The story moves pretty slowly as well. It's mostly about how the adults refuse to believe that anything is going on until it's too late. Drill manipulates the kids into playing what they think is a game, when in reality they are building a device which ends up bringing he and his army to Earth. It's a pretty simple plot, so the series has to greatly expand on it or there wouldn't be enough material for a weekly show.

Not sure. None of that is in the story. I assume that he was supposed to test some sort of new military secret weapon but Drill got a hold of his plane.
