Add to the fact that the NVWS/Pax Americana sect is apparently run by Hannah Wells' thought-dead boyfriend, it makes for some WTF

I thought the person that emerged from the helicopter was the assassin who tried to shoot President Kirkman and the V.P. had ordered to be killed on site.

Was I wrong on that?

Nah, just looked it up

Nah. It’s Lozano(CATALAN). The shooter. Who we already knew was part of The Conspiracy, but (as a reader has reminded) was supposed to be dead, killed per MacLeish’s orders when the feds found and cornered him. But still. A bit zzzzz.

I've basically given up on this show. The plot is beyond the pale at this point, the acting is utterly terrible, and Kiefer is fricking atrocious (my first experience with him-didn't watch 24).

It was Catalan. You're right. My bad.

DS' plot is relatively linear compared to the serpentine twists that 24 would take. Although you could count on whatever potentially nation-ending crisis was identified at the beginning of any one season would be dismissed/defused by the midway point, and then a larger more ominous threat would be uncovered and dealt with over the last 12 episodes.

So now I'm supposed to believe the entire Seal Team that took out Catalan is in on it?

No, it will be that they killed an imposter.

Rome was never a democracy. I wonder whether the show writers realize that or were subtly trying to make the cult seem more unhinged.

You missed Kiefer saving funding for the Arts. It was gripping.

Nope. Removed it from the DVR list last week. Shame. It showed some promise in the early weeks.

I am still watching, but it's getting to be not very good. I figured I'd give it the rest of the season and then decide if I want to scrap it for good or not.

Some of the shite that happens is just plain laughable.

i've been more interested in the shite that's happening outside of the white house with the fbi chick than all of the other stuff.

I gave up on it this week. Had potential but way too much liberal bullshite mixed in.

Gun control, of course the bad guys are republicans, wage gap, etc.

But isn't that what's going on these days? Liberal bullshite about those type issues. I would say it's the most realistic part of the show. The politics.

The conspiracy stuff is completely out of hand and that story line needs to end. Quickly. I'm enjoying watching putting D.C. back together after something like this. At least it's fresh

That was the final straw for me. Everyone in DC got killed, the president got shot, the VP was killed by his assassin wife, Governors are going rogue, FBI agents are being gunned down, we should be on the verge of martial law . . . .

yet the speaker of the house is stepping down over ARTS FUNDING

I'm out

the chief of staff is hot. The FBI chick is hot.

That helps.

Just finished season 1. Not sure I could have made it thru without binge watching. Acting was pretty meh. IMO the best actors had relatively minor roles (i.e. Aaron the first chief of staff and the former President)

The build up was ok, enough to keep me watching but the ending was major let down. Really no answers to anything as everyone involved in the conspiracy is killed/ kills themselves once being captured.

Not sure where they go from here with season 2 but don't plan on watching to find out. Out of the 1,000's of ridiculous things portrayed, Lonzo getting into Pentagon was the worst. They had the badge that was created to access certain rooms. That could have been easily been deactivated remotely in about 1 min.
