Just saw it on demand. It was alright. Had it's funny moments, but overall I didn't care for it. Thoughts?

You're in a very small minority.

I thought it was fantastic and a perfect adaptation of a very unique comic character/story. RR was born to play Deadpool.

I personally thought it wasn't very good. I don't know why people rave about it.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy one of the best movies to come out in the last 10 years.

The first 30 minutes were good enough to keep me watching, but it really dropped off IMO. Everyone recommended it to me and said it was awesome.

This times 10. He captured Deadpool perfectly. Hell, every major character from the comics that was in the movie was captured perfectly.

Most overrated and overhyped movie in a while. If I hadn't watched it, I would have sworn it was a Christopher Nolan movie staring JGL.

Good movie, but you need to watch more movies if this is one of the best of the last decade for someone. Or you just really love comic movies

The past 10 years of movies have pretty much been rehashed bullshite. At least this was different and did a really good job of staying with the source material. It is exactly what it intended to be. Not many recent movies can say that.

Marketing was genius.

However I agree the movie overall fell a little flat due to overhype.

Deadpool is supposed to be a 2 part movie IMO that specializes in Comic Movie/Comedy

1st understand that Fox never wanted this movie and refused to appropriately financially back it.

In terms of action grade on a curve. It has 1/5 to 1/4 the funds of your average Marvel movie.

My faults with it were very generic villian with very follow the rails cliche plot. Additionally IMO the humor was ok but vastly overrated.

Deadpool is a very clever character with a wide array of arsenal for comedic jokes. Most of the humor revolves around sexual innuendo. Dimminshing his more clever observational humor and witty side making him kind of 1 dimensional in his comedy.

I chuckled periodically but the previews did reveal most of the best jokes and the basic outline for all the action scenes in the movie.

I agree with all of that. Just disagree that's it's one of the best of the last decade. Hollywood is definitely putting their big $ on sequels and rehashes and what not, but there have still been a good amount of great movies. Just happens that the big budget/marketed movies haven't been

It tried and succeeded to be exactly what the Deadpool comic is all about.
