I think that Didio and Jim Lee overestimated the nostalgia that fans had for 90's comics. I doubt there were that many people looking forward to Rob Liefeld getting multiple titles in the new DCU.

Then you had Lee giving the Justice League matching uniforms with Nehru collars.

the court of owls was amazing, but the Death of the Family kinda pissed me off...

I would actually say I liked the new Superman much more than the new Batman...

I also actually liked the new Wonder Woman and Aquaman, but meh, they can put those back where they were and I wont mind either.

The Superman, Batman, Green Lanterns, and Green Arrow Rebirth comics came out this week.

Superman: Great story featuring a previous Superman trying to help with the process of bringing the current Superman back from the dead. Long time since I've felt like I was reading about a real Superman.

Batman: Not much going on. A new sidekick, a cool version of Calendar Man, but nothing really happening here.

Green Lanterns: Nice introductions/rehash of Earths latest additions to the Corps (Earth has six Green Lanterns). Intro of the current "big bad". A good start.

Green Arrow: The only book of the four that seems like a 100% new start and has a complete story. Ollie meets Dinah for the first time and they have a little adventure together. Ollie is the only "person" that I know who completely embraces the "Social Justice Warrior" title. I'd never thought of it, but he was the original SJW before that title got watered down by a bunch of whiners.

only two i will be picking up. For Batman, you should probably just wait for Snyder's new Bat title. Never was a Green Arrow guy.

Yeah bumping as well because I picked up the print editions of Rebirth and the first four number 1's at the shop today.

AWESOME stuff all around. GJ is the man. That scene with Barry and Wally was amazing.

And yeah, the meta hits you right in the face. Wally's commentary could have come from Johns himself. The issue is basically the official version of the "DC has lost its joy" discussion we've been having on here for years. As in, DC losing its joy is actually a part of the story. It's canon and there's a reason for it.

The one shot is a total steal at 3 bucks. Pick it up. Too bad the ending is spoiled because holy shite, what a panel.
