I think we get LS now after reading thing on Reddit

quote:

For the hypeless, here are some points to consider:

• The showrunners may have withheld her introduction to this season instead of last season for the same reason that Bran was left out this season: they did not want to extend beyond the books. Having LSH appear in season four's finale, only to not have anything on her in season 5 would not work on TV like it did in the books. AWOW will likely be released before next season, so next season could have plenty of Stoneheart sheit.

• Lena Headey's Stone Heart instagram was released at the same time as the season 5 scripts were recieved by the actors.

• I feel like if she wasn't included they would have just nipped it in the bud and made some sort of statement putting fans theories at rest.

• After the backlash from her exclusion last year, maybe they thought it wouldn't be so bad.

• GRRM would not bring back such a major character JUST for the shock value. I am convinced she will have a larger role, which makes it more likely she'll be included.

• There has been no alternate resolution for Jaime and Brienne which mean that whole storyline is still unconcluded.

• It would be a good scene in conjunction with 'FTW', to fans don't think his inevitable ressurection is a little too convenient.

• THE NAME IS frickING 'MOTHER MERCY', WHICH IS CATELYN'S ALIAS IN THE FFC LIST NAME THING.

• What is hype may never die.

• Please.

My crackpot theory on LSH being in the books is she will be the one to bring back Jon Snow. Sort of a redemption on that relationship. She will give up her immortality so he can live on.

probably wont happen.

I love that though. He's no longer a bastard she hates but a nephew her husband protected.

Problem with it is, she would have to find out relatively quickly and last we heard she was in the Riverlands.

Or maybe she does it thinking he is the only one who can protect her remaining children? Still geographically far away though.

That's pretty weak points for why she'll be on the show

GRRM wouldn't just bring her back for no reason. She has an important purpose. Also I'm flying to Australia right now so I'm going to FINALLY ready TWOIAF

I'd be really shocked if they bring her in at this point. I really can't see that happening even with the points they listed.

I'd lose my shite if they did though.

I still haven't read that yet. I've been meaning to, just haven't had the time yet. Let me know if it is a good read.

I think it's pretty cool. Tons of illustrations. You may have already read a lot of stuff on your own, or watched/read/listened to the histories of everything. I got it and loved reading it

Cool, thanks.

I'm guessing your right that I probably know a lot of the history stuff in the book, but I figured it would still me worth the read.

Same. I want it more than just about anything but If they didn't do it at the end of season 3 and they didn't do it last season it's been far to long. The only way I'll believe they are going to do it is if someone mentions in passing that a few Freys have gone missing in the Riverlands or something. That's when I'll get my hopes up.

Do we think Varys is still going to kill Kev and Pycelle? I'm hoping he's made his way back to the Red Keep by now.

I'm sticking with my Lady SansaHeart theory. Because really, I think that's the only role I can envision her in long term, short of just getting killed outright.

Well if you believe the IMDB casting page, Varys and Kevan are both listed for the final episode

There are a lot of characters that I feel this way about at this point that you would think play a role in the end game. Aegon and Connington, the whole Kingsmoot and Stoneheart all have characters that are way out of position and timing to fit them into the story at this point.

- Dany is about to ride Drogon at the end of the season so the Kingsmoot (dragon horn) is out of position to go woo her.

- Stoneheart hasn't been introduced yet and they have Brienne at Winterfell and Jaime is in Dorne. Unless they introduce Stoneheart around Winterfell for a run in with Brienne and they both go into help Sansa, there isn't much point in bringing her in at this point.

- Aegon and Connington were a good transition for Tyrion to make his way towards helping Dany but they moved him via Varys instead. Would have been simple to introduce them but I guess they thought Hodors couldn't follow a few more characters being introduced. I don't see any way that these two don't come into play in some fashion but they will be an even more random introduction.

While I understand some of the choices in simplifying the story for tv purposes, they rushed a lot of stories for no apparent reason IMO.

In short (well this started out short), that Sansa becomes a stand in of some sort for Lady StoneHeart. Probably not by being "killed" because I'm not sure who would bring her back (Mel will probably be saved to do that for Jon).

But maybe by being injured and disfigured really badly or even not injured but just kind of being pushed over the edge of sanity and normal behavior by her travails and winds up roaming and killing the hell out of anyone and everyone related to the Boltons or who have harmed the Starks in any way, even seemingly innocent members of the Boltons and their bannermen's familys.

Her "band" could be Brienne and Pod and maybe some remnants of Stannis' army or maybe even the Brotherhood Without Banners themselves or some group of Stark loyalist that remain in the area.

Kind of Crackpot for sure but I'm not really seeing a "happily ever after" for Sansa and don't really want to see her continually suffer at the hands of Ramsey or get killed (though her death wouldn't be that bad in terms of characters who have died off).

It's not that crackpot. They are making their money off of combinging plot lines so it makes some sense that they would combine Sansa and LS. Though I'm not sure to what end.

To me it would be a fitting arc for her. She started out as a spoiled and naive "princess" type who lost her direwolf (to me that has to mean something in GRRM land - like with Robb) through pretty much her own fault and sided with Joffrey over her own family on the trip from Winterfell to King's Landing.

She then went straight from that into a plaything to be tormented by Joffrey. Then from that into a pawn in Littlefinger's hands. Then to being brutalized by Ramsey.

I'm just seeing her as a tragic arc. I could see her getting revenge against Ramsey which would be great but I can't really see her as triumphant in any way. It would be more in keeping with her arc to me if she ended up kind of bad or at least mad herself. Nothing near as bad as Ramsey but still a force of chaos if not evil. (Heck didn't the previews for this week show her saying she would do the same things to Theon that Ramsey has done if she had the power?)
