I don't like these chapter releases. I'll wait to read it all at once.

What if, after Jon's death, the wildlings burn his body (out of fear of his turning to a wight) and out of the flames he rises as Azor Ahai

I like that theory. It would put more credence to him being half Targ.

I was just reading a thread on westeros.org about the Targ/resistance to fire thing. The poster was saying that in no way does the fact that someone is a Targ does it mean they can't be hurt by fire and that the Daenerys thing was more of a blood magic deal than her being a Targ. Jon has already burned his hand in the first book, and Daenerys has already been burned by her dragon's breath in the fifth.

I'd prefer for her magic blood to not be flowing at that time.

The blood magic in question was her sacrificing Drogo and the maegi witch who poisoned him in the fire when she hatched the dragons..

Didn't Dany reach into a fire pit and grab an egg with no scaring? Her attendant had scaring on her palms. I'm pretty sure it is safe to say she is a true dragon.

You may have nailed it. Melisandre has had a fascination with Jon and I wonder if Jon's religion changes if he's reborn.
