Anybody still watch this show? I actually like it a lot, and was glad to hear that TBS had picked it up once ABC decided to can it.

Last night was the first episode of the new season, and it felt the same as the ABC episodes, really. So that was good. I know there have been several people on here who liked it in the past...have you given up on it? Glad it's back? Indifferent?

i caught an episode here and there a couple years ago

it's good filler tv, it's not garbage, but not something that is compelling enough for me to be a devoted fan

Glad to hear that for the fan's sake. MOst of the time the writing is different when a show jumps stations.

Not really a fan so I'm indifferent.

ETA: Is Cougar Town the most sucessfull TV show for any of the Friends cast?

I never liked the show, but I find it interesting that they seem to be mocking the show in the promos.

I watched the first season or two but forgot to set it to record when I got a new dvr. It obviously wasn't important enough for me to remember. I liked it, but only enough to watch it while doing something else. Or I watched it late at night when nothing else was on. I may go back and catch up. I always liked Brian van holt and Ian gomez's characters.

I hadn't seen an episode since very early in the run, so I gave it a shot last night because I still hear good things about it. It's just not for me.

It's not like According to Jim or anything. I know it's not a bad show and can see why people enjoy it. But I'm not really interested in it.

It's one of those that I watched the Pilot for, and it was good enough for me to keep watching, and it just grew on me (sort of like Outsourced, RIP ). It's not compelling TV or really great TV, but it's quirky and funny in its own weird way. I really enjoy it.

The commercials seem to show this as a nonstop alcohol ad

I was sad when that happened too.

That's what I was hoping wouldn't happen. And it may have for all I know, but it definitely felt like the same old CT to me.

At the beginning of every show, there's usually some little statement on the title screen, and the one last night was something like "Thanks, TBS...does this mean we can cuzz on TV now?"

And Bobby is awesome.

There's lots of wine consumption on the show. And they even referenced themselves as alcoholics last night.

Didn't feel different at all. Glad it was back. I didn't even know it was until I read about it on warmingglow.

As others have said...not my favorite show by an means, but still solid none the less. Something I'll watch why taking care of some work on the couch.

wine has become VERY popular the last few years, especially with females, especially cougars

every single one of them fancies themselves wine experts

my wife included. She has to appear discerning to clients and people who work for her so she'll send wine back at restaurants

solid show that has the bill lawerence feel to it. they overdue the wine thing a bit, but other than that I like it

TBS should do this more, get comedies that have a solid following but not enough for networks to keep. They clearly can't develop their own

Rumors are that their next target is Happy Endings if it gets canceled by ABC.

Yeah, they overdo a lot of shite when it comes to Jules...she really does run everyone's life. That gets annoying at times, but that's kinda the joke of the show though, so I don't let it bother me.

Agreed on all accounts. I'd much rather them do this than shitting out a new Tyler Perry sitcom every 6 months, or some shite like Men at Work or Wdding Band.

and I think comedy central has eyes on Community, so hopefully this becomes a trend
